Ted Bell
Move over the Saint, James Bond and Dirk Pitt! Literature has a new adventurous hero. Ted Bell's character Alexander Hawke burst onto the scene in "Assassin."
The Vice Chairman and Worldwide Creative Director of Young & Rubicam, (one of the largest advertising agencies in the world) Theodore "Ted" Bell has entered the lists of authors as an author with prestigious credentials.
In addition to writing screenplays for Hollywood, Ted Bell has won a number of awards. Among them, "every top creative prize the industry bestows, Clios, One Show Gold Awards, a number of Bronze, Silver and Gold lions at the prestigious Cannes Festival."
His first book was "Nick of Time," which is an adventurous tale likened to those by Robert Louis Stevenson, who wrote Kidnapped, Treasure Island, both classic tales beloved by children and adults. Nick of Time chronicles Nick and his sister Kate's adventures at the end of which they find themselves heros.
Assassin was his second book and Alex Hawke was introduced along with a rich cast of characters, each of whom would be worthy of books following their own adventures.
Following Assassin was Pirate. The scenario within the story was right off the headlines and intertwined with today's issues and woven into action packed adventure for Alex Hawke and his team.
SPY is his latest novel. Bell's imaginative writing in this book touches upon incidents that happen along the US border with Mexico, drawing the threads of what happens there and twining them around the open and clandestine warfare with evil deep in the Amazon jungles.
