Reader's Corner
Welcome to our Bogster's Book Discussion!
Although the advent of the internet means information can be retrieved at the touch of a button, it's still a wondrous feeling to hold a bound book and open its pages. Collecting favorite author's books is another activity bibliophiles like myself enjoy.
I have several favorite genres, biographical, action, mystery and fantasy. My start with mystery books began with classic writers of the genre, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Rex Stout and Ellery Queen.
Today's favorites include an eclectic mix of authors: Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell, (their main characters, like themselves, are coroners), Ann Rule, Martha Grimes, Elizabeth Peters, Anne Perry and Elizabeth George. Clive Cussler, James Lee Burke, Ted Bell, Elliot Pattison, Tom Clancy, and Reginald Hill. Frank Hebert (Dune Series & Sequels by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson), George R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan and by no means least, J.R.R. Tolkien.
What are you reading? Have a favorite author? Genre? Let the discussions begin!
