P.D. JAMES
Having finished the book by J. Randy Taraborrelli, "Once Upon a Time Behind the Fairy Tale of Princess Grace and Prince Rainer," I embarked upon a diverse stack of books.
Among them, Richard Cornwell's Crackdown, Stephen Hunter's "The Spanish Gambit," Laura Joh Rowland's "The Assassin's Touch," Gene Thompsons's "Nobody Cared for Kate," William Heffernan's "Corsican Honor," and Sarah Stewart Taylor's "Mansion of the Dead."
In addition, a book giving an account of the capture of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina called "The House on Garibaldi Street," by Isser Harel, a former head of Israel's Secret Service was a fascinating account of the steps taken to apprehend the war criminal Eichmann.
Profiling P.D. JAMES:
P.D. James, (Baroness James of Holland Park) has been a favorite author of mine for some time. I've been privileged to see some of the television shows that were created using her books. Many of her books have been translated to film and broadcast around the world.
P.D. James's background in the Police and Criminal Law Departments of Great Britain's Home Office, along with her service in other departments of the British Civil Service, bring a unique and knowledgeable aura to her characters and stories.
The latest in P.D. James's Adam Dalgliesh Mystery books is "The Lighthouse."
