True Crime - Till Death Do Us Part
Till Death Do Us Part - Love, Marriage And The Mind Of
The Killer Spouse by Dr. Robi Ludwig and Matt Birkbeck
For those of you who like delving into the pscyhology and
motives behind specific murder cases that were
in the news, Dr. Ludwig provides her professional insight
into the cases listed below.
The first chapter examines why people marry in the first
place. The last chapter is titled Thou Shalt not Kill.
You may or may not agree with some of her insights
into these cases. With some cases, yes, I do, but
in others I certainly do not. For no matter the
reasons the medical profession may proffer for certain
murderous crimes, there always remains the fact that
some persons do not have a conscience when it comes to
other people being in the way of what they want.
Many of us on the net who follow true crime cases have
followed many of the cases Ludwig & Birkbeck have
included in this book.
As such, many of us would not have grouped specific
killers within some of the categories that in this book
they have been placed. Some might argue that
there also should be a category for "just plain mean."
Among the Chapters & Cases in the book:
Betrayal/Abandonment Killer
Clara Harris
Betty Broderick
Control Killer
David Breame
Richard Sharpe
Robert Bierenbaum
Sociopathic Killer
Christian Longo
Mark Hacking
Black Widow/Profit Killer
Julia Lynn Turner
Kimberly Hricko
Narcissistic Killer
Rabbi Fred Neulander
Pamela Smart
Temper Tantrum Killer
Scott Peterson
Brian Trimble
Transference Killer
Michael Peterson
Celeste Beard
Revenge Killer
Susan Wright
Nancy Seaman
Pregnancy Killer
Rae Carruth
Charles Stewart
Caregiver Killer
Rosewell Gilbert

Ken Follett
Ken Follett is a writer that's easy to read. In World Without End his latest
creation, Follett breathes life into 1300s England, France and Vienna,
bringing it to us with all it's politics, conflicts and varying moralities.
Although billed as a sequel to the Pillars of the Earth (1989), World
Without End stands on it's own merits. Follett's attention to details,
even of the smallest kind, breathes life into each character from peasant,
knight, lady or bishop.
The main setting of both books is the town, cathedral and priory of
Kingsbridge England with some events occurring in local villages,
France during war time, and Vienna during the plague.
The story centers upon a man torn between the love of his life and his love
of architecture, a woman torn between the man and her desire to step out
of the expected mold for women to improve the science of medicine without
being cast as a witch, and a woman simply trying to stay alive and protect
those she loves.
All are emeshed within a swirling kaleidoscope of political intrigue, the fears
and reality of the plague, human kindness, ignorance and brutality.
